Audiovisuals
The EuromediApp Jean Monnet Network has produced not only written, but also audiovisual material in a total of more than 2 hours. This material can be freely used and is available below.
Documentary "The Media Puzzle"
Recorded and edited by director Ryslaine Boumahdi, this 46-minute long documentary experiments to address media and platform regulation with different lenses. While most of the Jean Monnet Network revolved around production by experts in the topic, the challenge in this documentary has been to see how the topic shines for non-expert, but still engaged citizens. Gradually informed by scholars, policymakers and stakeholders from the civil society, how does a lay person react to the issues at stake in the current debates? Does the topic become more relevant over time? Which issues are more salient?
Currently, this video is shown at various occasions. If you are interested to use the video at your own event or for teaching purposes, you may contact the director of the movie, Ryslaine Boumahdi, and agree on terms and conditions.
Master classes
These master classes were developed for teaching purposes in higher education. With 13-17 minutes, they feature relevant scholars and stakeholders talking about central topics for the discussion on media and platform regulation. Among multiple possibilities, lecturers can use the videos to sparkle discussions among students or to complement reading assignments.
The material was recorded in English, but all videos are made available with subtitles in additional languages (Dutch, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Italian Lithuanian, and Portuguese).
